Join the Research, Contribute!

When you contribute data to SOULCAP, it serves multiple specific purposes within our standardization mission:

Developing Universal Standards: Your cytometry data helps establish globally accepted gating strategies and cell population definitions that will be used by researchers worldwide.

Validating Annotation Software: Contributed datasets train and test automated annotation algorithms, ensuring they perform accurately across diverse populations and experimental conditions.

Creating Reference Libraries: High-quality datasets become part of our permanent reference collection, supporting ongoing research and serving as benchmarks for the scientific community.

Proficiency Testing: Your data contributes to validation protocols that help laboratories and software developers assess their annotation accuracy and maintain quality standards.

Contribute

SOULCAP hosts datasets used in research related to the SOULCAP Foundation --- anything that pushes forward standardized cell annotation in research is welcome.

By contributing, your data becomes part of a global reference resource that accelerates consensus and enables AI-ready frameworks for immunology and clinical translation. Contributors retain control through transparent IP and licensing policies.

Defined a new cell populations?
Created a great new gating strategy?
Validated an existing gating strategy?
Designed a fantastic panel?

Upload your dataset, let’s analyze it together!

Where Your Data Is Stored

Primary Repository: All SOULCAP data is stored with standard encryption in transit and at rest, access controls through Google Workspace permissions, and basic audit logging. Data is stored in Google's global cloud infrastructure with standard security measures appropriate for non-sensitive research data.

Open Community Repository: All validated cytometry annotations, standardization protocols, and reference implementations are made freely available to the global research community through our partners, including ISAC’s FlowRepository  to support researchers worldwide in implementing SOULCAP standards, regardless of institutional affiliation or geographic location. We believe that democratizing access to high-quality cytometry standards accelerates discovery across all areas of immunological research.

How We Ensure Your Privacy

Data Minimization: We collect only the minimum data necessary for our standardization objectives, avoiding unnecessary personal or sensitive information.

De-identification Protocols: All personal identifiers are systematically removed using validated de-identification procedures specifically designed for cytometry data characteristics by our team that includes developers of the FCS standard.
